Coaster Jireh ran aground on Mona Island, Puerto Rico, in the morning June 21, Coast Guard San Juan was notified of the accident at 0650 LT, and immediately sent helicopter to assess the situation. Later Coast Guard Cutter Cushing arrived on the scene. Most of the crew left the vessel and went safely ashore. Circumstances of the grounding under investigation. no pollution reported.
