Storm Dagmar sank Russian trawler

Trawler Krasnoselsk sank in Hundeidvika harbour, Sykkylven, Norway, Norwegian sea, at about 2130 LT Dec 25. Vessel was berthed, when storm Dagmar befall Norway coast, with waves up to 10-12 meters in harbour area. Locals say Dagmar is the worst storm experienced in some 30 years. Waves and wind pushed the vessel against the berth, the hull was holed, and Krasnoselsk sank along the berth, or judging from a pic, capsized. Crew evacuated the trawler and was delivered to a hotel, no injures reported. Vessel has some 80 tons of fuel on board, leak is reported, but as long as Dagmar is still raging around, local salvage can’t even lay out booms. Capsized Krasnoselsk, pic from online news edition smp.co, and pic of trawler in better days. Trawler Krasnoselsk IMO 7643916, displacement 1940 tons, built 1977, flag Russia, owner Komserv Fish, Arkhangelsk.
