Fire on board of FPSO SeaRose, White Rose oilfield, Canada



On August 7 fire broke out in a pump room of FPSO (Floating Production and Storage Object) SeaRose, located at the White Rose field about 160 miles east of St.John, off Newfoundland. Fire started at around 17:00 LT and was quickly extinguished by FPSO personnel, resulting in limited damage. Fire was contained to pump room only, no injures reported. The FPSO is currently idle and not in production. FPSO SeaRose IMO 9274501, dwt 139950, built 2004, flag Canada, manager HUSKY OIL OPERATIONS.
