A Cuban man stuck on Russian ferry for more than a month due to bureaucracy mismatch

There is a movie Terminal, telling a story of a man who wasn’t able to leave airport because of faulty papers. Well, the story came true, just substitute airport for a seaport. For more than a month a Cuban citizen Luiz-Vladimir Vega Suspedes can’t leave the ferry Princess Maria (IMO 7911533) of St. Peter Ferry Line connecting S-Petersburg and Helsinki. He boarded the ferry more than a month ago in Helsinki with all the papers required to apply for Russian citizenship, but something went wrong in Russian Immigration computer center, which didn’t receive electronic version of all the papers, which was duly sent by the poor applicant. Luiz-Vladimir is 41 years old, he’s an architect, teacher of Spanish and flamenco fan. He was dreaming of living in Russia for a long time. Russian TV is filming documentary on the story hoping it will help him to finally, reach a land of his dream.
