Freighter Spaarnediep damaged in Kiel Canal



General cargo vessel Spaarnediep ran into the embankment of the Kiel Canal near Projensdorf shortly after leaving Holtenau locks on July 7, 2012, around 2 p.m. Vessel suffered damages and was berthed in Kiel and stays in Kiel since then for repairs, reported vesseltracker.com. Vessel was en route from Rostock to Ceuta. General cargo vessel Spaarnediep IMO 9194062, dwt 4650, built 2000, flag Netherlands, manager FEEDERLINES BV.
