Freighter with 11 crew sank off Ashdod, crew in lifeboats, waiting for rescue

On Dec 12 2010 in Mediterranean, close to Ashdod Israel, at about 0700 UTC sank in heavy weather general cargo Adriatic with 3000 mt steel on board. 11 crew went to two lifeboats and waiting for rescuers, all 11 are Ukranians. S&R as of 0730-0800 UTC under way, Israeli authorities sent to the scene helicopters, close by vessel mistakenly named Yang Min tried to heave sailors from lifeboats, but rough sea and strong wind foiled attempts so far.
