General cargo and tanker collided off S-Petersburg

At 1224 March 13 2011 general cargo Marchicora while leaving S-Petersburg port collided with tanker Besiktas Scotland in 60 02 7 N 029 05 2 E. Tanker in ballast, stuck in ice, was waiting for icebreaker to be guided to S-Petersburg port. m/t Besiktas Scotland got a hole above waterline 3 meters diameter, m/v Marchicora damaged bow part and lost anchor. No spill and no injures reported, both vessels are to be surveyed to evaluate their condition.
